About Foster Home

Where Love Has Four Paws

You want to become a foster home? GREAT! We are happy to inform you about some main things. For further informations please use this button.

What should you bring if you want to take care of an animal?

One of the most responsible tasks in animal welfare is being a foster caregiver for animals. This not only requires a lot of love for animals but also:

  • Experience
  • Know-how!
  • Willingness to learn
  • Sense of responsibility
  • Reliability
  • High frustration tolerance
  • Patience
  • Stress resistance
  • Empathy
  • Your living situation

Livingsituation

The living situation into which the animal is taken should be designed to suit the animal and provide sufficient space. No one can tell you exactly how the animal will behave in your household. Sofas, carpets, table legs, pillows, shoes, and much more have already fallen victim to many foster animals.

Existing pets should be open and pack-compatible with other animals. They should be healthy and have a stable immune system. This minimizes the risk of your own animals getting infected with things like Giardia, mites, or diseases that the foster animal may have brought along.

Please only contact us as a potential foster caregiver if you have the long-term ability to take one of our charges into your care. Long-term means that you can accommodate the animal for as long as possible until it finds a good permanent home. Some animals find such a home shortly after moving to a foster home, while others may take many months.

If you think you are the right people to take one of our loved dogs as a foster dog, then please do not hesitate to contact us! 🤍
