The cheerful Poly had the chance to leave the animal shelter in Italy in April 2024. In her official “home”, i.e. in Cornelia’s animal shelter in Sicily, she enjoyed certain special rights. So they were able to live in the house, were used to the hustle and bustle of the people and employees who lived there, were able to play with the grandchildren from time to time, and all in all they were able to lead a pretty good dog life. However, the places are limited, there are new dogs that need to be helped almost every day and it was clear that Poly should definitely be rehomed. She is still a young and somewhat sensible dog (which you wouldn’t even notice immediately given her sometimes brash way of playing) and due to the long transport, the new environment and so many new impressions, she didn’t initially show her best dog side . Poly was very insecure, could only express it with a growl and needed some time to overcome this insecurity. At the foster home she has 4 adult and confident dogs at her side and Poly quickly learned that with friendly behavior you can achieve success much more quickly. The dog needs care, a lot of attention and love, but also a consistent attitude towards her. We now very much hope that she will be able to move to her forever home soon and then be able to show what a great dog and loyal companion she is. Poly is currently in foster care in 56745 Rieden and can be visited there by arrangement. If you are interested in poly, please contact us.
